The Good Business Charter has recognised Genee for responsible business practices, joining companies such as PECT, Aviva and Northumbrian Water.
This accreditation champions responsible businesses that are making practical choices within their operations to show a commitment to caring about people and the planet. Businesses signed up to the Charter must commit to 10 components of responsible business, from paying the Real Living Wage, to their environmental responsibility and commitment to customers.
Genee works with organisations across the North East to embed sustainability into their operations, ranging from local authorities, NHS Trusts to social enterprises and charities. We are committed to greening to economy of the North East of England, whilst maintaining responsible businesses practices which benefit our employees, customers and suppliers too.
Managing Director of Genee, Jo Holmes, said: “At Genee, we care about walking the talk and upholding the true meaning of sustainability, which means considering people, planet and profit. Receiving the Good Business Charter accreditation is an indication of how we successfully approach these three pillars in our everyday business.”
