NORTHERN DELIVERY PARTNER

Investors In The Environment Awards 2025 - A Smile A Day Photography (235 of 239).JPG

Genee are the Northern delivery partner for Investors in the Environment (iiE), a nationally recognised environmental accreditation scheme. We work with organisations of all sectors and sizes across the North East and North West to support them to develop an environmental management system which works for them.

The iiE framework supports your organisation to set goals, take action, track progress and achieve recognition in the process. Whether you want to cut your environmental impact, protect biodiversity, set net zero targets or gain recognition for your achievements, we act as an extension of your team - providing the tools and accredited traiuning you need to turn ambition into action.

At genee we want to ensure that environmental action works for your organisation, not just as a tick box exercise, but something that can help you find cost savings, meet tender requirements and attract and retain staff.

Each year, organisations that successfully meet the iiE criteria are awarded a recognised certification to demonstrate their progress.

Whether you’re an SME or a large, complex multi-site organisation – if you are looking to understand where you are environmentally and get on a pathway to make improvements and engage staff, we can work with you.

The iiE
Framework

The iiE framework supports organisations to build and improve their Environmental Management System in a clear, practical way. It focuses on four key areas of sustainable development: Leadership & Governance, Climate Change, Nature & Natural Resources, and Pollution & Waste.

HEAR FROM OUR MEMBERS:

"Joing the iiE programme initially felt quite daunting and we were unsure how it would impact our charity. However with Genee's assistance the process has been straightforward and highly rewarding. Some of the initiatives have not only lessened our environmental footprint, but also contributed to significant cost savings for the charity."
