A new service on offer to all businesses in Gateshead, and within Gateshead Council’s supply chain, aims to reduce the carbon footprint of organisations across the borough.


Leading experts Genee (Greening the Economy of the North East of England) has partnered with Gateshead Council to offer a package of support to organisations so they can meet the challenges of climate change and manage their environmental impact.

The company is helping Gateshead Council achieve their ambition of Net Zero by 2030 by helping businesses to identify, manage, and reduce their environmental impacts and their carbon footprints.


Businesses will receive support through a series of free training webinars, virtual clinics, and one-to-one meetings with an environmental consultant.


The hour-long webinars focus on a number of different themes:

· 8th March 2022, 12pm – 1pm – Climate Change and Gateshead

· 10th March 2022, 12pm – 1pm – Carbon and Your Footprint

· 15th March 2022, 12pm – 1pm – Managing your Environment

· 17th March 2022, 12pm – 1pm – Practical Environmental Management

· 22nd March 2022, 12pm – 1pm – Practical Ways to Reduce Your Organisations Environmental Impacts


Businesses can sign up for individual webinars or all five, with flexible one-to-one sessions with a Genee consultant available to follow up.
